fluorite sand is fine fluorite. Coarse fluorite is usually separated by gravity separation to gain metallurgy fluorite, but how to concentrate fine fluorite and which kind of equipments will be involvd?

Floatation separation is considered mostly, but due to some limitations, floatation separation is ususlly not so workable. Upgrading of fluorite sand needs screening and gravity separation, while sometimes dewatering and drying will be needed. The screening of fluorite sand is usually linear vibrating screen or rotary screen. Circular vibration screen doesnot work so well because the fluorite is usually very fine and there is also some sticky material, and this leads jam of screen hole of circular vibrating screen. linear vibrating screen and rotary screen is suitable for screening of material both wet and dry with ideal screening efficiency.

The gravity separator involved for fluorite sand separation is jig concentrator. Some people get shaking table is also great gravity separation machines for fluorite sand, but handling capacity of shaking table is low and its recovery rate is low. So jigger is still the core beneficiation plant for fluorite sand. Jigger, eps. down-driven jig separator can separate fluorite sand with its even water-flow, small occupied area and good beneficiation efficiency, esp. for the fine ore of 0-5mm.

Dewatering of fluorite sand is usually finished at the end of the jigger by dewatering screen. The screening size is allocated according to the fluortie granule size to gain better dewatering efficiency. And deposit pool can be used as well for dewatering by depositing naturally.
